Vandal takes away fan-tastic Blackburn Rovers souvenir

FOR one Blackburn Rovers fan, the temptation to own a unique souvenir of their favourite club proved too great.
A giant banner has been put up outside the club's Ewood Park ground promoting the comedy Shearer or Me at the nearby Thwaites Empire Theatre.
But someone has carefully cut out the club's famous crest which appeared on the banner.
Eric Nolan, producer of Shearer or Me for Blackburn Drama Club said: "At first I thought it was just a rip in the banner but when I looked carefully the club crest had been deliberately cut out.
"I just hope that whoever has done this comes to support our play so that his ticket money can go towards paying for the banner's repair."
Shearer or Me is a comedy looking at Blackburn Rovers' Premership winning season in 1994-95 and will run at the Thwaites Theatre from Tuesday, May 27, to Saturday, May 31.
