A 21-year-old man has appeared before Blackburn magistrates on arson offences following an incident at a traveller's caravan site in Appleby Street.
James William Young, of Ewood Caravan Site, Blackburn, is charged with arson with intent to endanger life and making threats to endanger life.
The charges arise out of an incident at the Appleby Street site when petrol was allegedly poured under a car and then lit.
Young was remanded on bail on certain conditions These are that he goes to live with his uncle, John Coverdale, a pastor in the Pentecostal Church in Newark, Nottinghamshire, and that he does not enter Lancashire.
