Campaigners in Blackburn pro-life demo

A PEACEFUL pro-life demonstration took place in Blackburn on Saturday.

Campaigners carrying placards said they held the event to raise public awareness of the issue of abortion.

The event outside Blackburn Town Hall also included speakers, covering key aspects of the abortion debate.

There was also a mobile exhibition showing the pictures of life inside mother’s womb at early stage of development.

A spokesman for the organisers said: “We understand that this issue is perhaps one of the most controversial and emotional ones out of all the issues from the public debates, but in our opinion it touches matters that are so fundamental to our existence, that avoidance of them is no way forward, especially when consensus has not been reached.”

wonder how many unwanted children they have adopted between them? wonder if their concern for the rights of a foetus extends to the child when it is born? i have no problem with people who do not want terminations for themselves what concerns me is people who believe they have a (god given) right to tell others what to do with their own bodies

Does my alleged unwillngness to adopt a child justify an abortionist killing one? Isn't it like saying:unless you adopt my son I shall kill him by noon tomorrow...

I understand women's right to their bodies, but consider this: a woman needs an emergency cesarian on her twins to save their lives. She's afraid of a scar and she refuses. The babies die.

PS. Me telling my side of argument is as 'forcing my view' on you as your comment above is on me.

Sorry Eva123, but if you can't even spell "Caesarean" you really should think twice before expressing your ill-informed (and most likely entirely fictional) views.
