THE father of a 12-year-old girl killed by a failed asylum seeker driver will attend the High Court on Friday in a last-ditch attempt to throw him out of the country.
Paul Houston will travel to the capital to hear the Border Agency verbally appeal a decision to allow 33-year-old Aso Mohammed Ibrahim to stay in the UK because he now has two children.
Ibrahim was driving while disqualified, and without insurance, when he hit Amy Houston, in Highercroft, Blackburn, in November 2003.
Mr Houston, who has campaigned for Ibrahim’s deportation ever since, will not be allowed to speak in court.
He said: “I’m not sure what good will come of it.
“They rejected a written appeal, so who knows.
“Maybe they’re humouring me.
“But I’m going because I want people to know that I’m prepared to fight.”
