STOLEN agricultural machinery worth an estimated £350,000 has been found at a farm in Blackburn.
Police raided Redcap Farm, Blackburn Road, Blackburn, and discovered six vehicles including tractors, JCBs and trailers, which officers said had all be confirmed as stolen.
They have since been connected to thefts from Greater Manchester and Cheshire over the past few months, officers said.
Police also found ‘evidence’ at the derelict farm – believed to be car parts and number plates - which they are examining.
The vehicles have been seized by police.
The investigation is now been jointly handled by the Stolen Vehicle Squad in Lancashire’s Serious and Organised Crime Unit and Blackburn’s auto-crime team.
A 44-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and was questioned by detectives on Tuesday after the raid at 6.45pm on Monday.
He has since been released on police bail until April 28, pending further inquiries.
Inspector Ilyas Mohamed said the culprits would be dealt with: “We will robustly deal with people who commit these kind of offences.”
