AN Oxfam aid worker from Pakistan today took part in a debate at Blackburn Cathedral which was also broadcast live on our website.
Shakar Arbab, who works with the charity in Islamabad, answered questions asked by audience members as well as those posted by viewers watching around the world
Mr Arbab talked about his work on reconstruction programmes in areas hit by earthquake and floods, and said that every pound donated to Oxfam is monitored to ensure it reaches communities which need it.
The panel at the Blackburn Cathedral event, titled 'Does the future of Pakistan matter to us?', also included dialogue development officer Anjum Anwar MBE and Canon Chris Chivers.
