Government minister visits Blackburn

COMMUNITIES Secretary John Denham visited Little Harwood in Blackburn yesterday to see how £50,000 from the Government’s Connecting Communities programme has benefited local people.

Mr Denham heard how the programme had given them more control over their lives by encouraging them to speak up for themselves and develop local leadership.

It has also led to a business association being formed.
