DARWEN Leisure Centre is holding a charity dance night next month in aid of East Lancashire Hospice.

On May 4 it will host six dance and fitness taster classes will take place from 6pm to 9pm at a cost of £5.

The evening aims to raise cash for the hospice in Park Lee Road which cares for those with life-limiting illnesses from Blackburn, Darwen, Accrington and Clitheroe.

The classes at the leisure centre on The Green will give the chance to try out dance and fitnesss regimes including zumba, bokwa and clubbercise.

Entry fee allows people can take part in as many sessions as they want.

Each class lasts 25 minutes and participants need to be aged at least 12 and under-16s must be accompanied by an adult, with a maximum of two children per accompanying adult.

Free refreshments will be available and juniors will receive free glow sticks.

People need a beeZ leisure card available free.

Booking and payment must be made in advance by calling 01254 874900 or at any Blackburn with Darwen Borough leisure centre.

Other fundraising events for the hospice this year include a 'Bubble Rush' fund run on May 6, the Ribble Vally Pub Walk on June 23, a Memories Walk on July 7, a Sky Dive on August 19, a Morecambe Bay Walk on September 1 and a Super Trouper Night on September 22.
