A 21 YEAR old man was jailed for contempt of court after shouting abuse at magistrates.
Dylan Jordan McLean called the magistrates sitting at Blackburn “nob heads” and called the female chairman a “slag” after they had remanded him in custody.
He apologised for his outburst when he was brought before a District Judge later in the day but she jailed him for 14 days.
“Your behaviour was totally unacceptable,” said the judge. “Just because you did not agree with the magistrates’ decision doesn’t mean you can insult them.
That kind of behaviour will not be tolerated.”
McLean, of Sydney Street, Darwen, pleaded not guilty to assaulting Keeley Heyes, breaching a restraining order in her favour, making a threatening phone call to her and damaging her car. He was remanded in custody until February 22.
