A NUMBER of free events will take place to support dementia sufferers and their families.

Pendle’s Dementia Action Alliance hold an event on January 28 between 2pm and 4pm at St John’s Church Hall in Albert Road to highlight the support available in Pendle.

The next event will take place on March 13 between 6pm and 8pm at St Joseph’s Community Centre in Gisburn Road, Barnoldswick and will cover financial and legal advice for people affected by dementia and their families.

Paul Gauntlett, Pendle’s Dementia Action Alliance Chair, said: “This is a free, public event for anyone concerned about dementia, including carers and family members as well as health and social care professionals.
