RESIDENTS can choose who they think is their best community leader.
One Voice Blackburn is linking up with Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council to announce the nomination process for this year’s leader’s award.
The Mohammed Khan Leader’s Award will acknowledge and reward an individual or an organisation that has promoted community cohesion through leadership in Blackburn and Darwen.
Last year’s winner was Chris Seddon, who was rewarded for her work with the asylum and refugee communities, as well as a long and distinguished career in educating those from challenging backgrounds.
If you would like to nominate someone or an organisation send a 100-word explanation as to the reason for your choice.
The winner will be chosen by Councillor Mohammed Khan with One Voice Blackburn Directors and announced at the One Voice annual dinner, due to take place at the end of February 2018.
