FORMER Foreign Secretary Jack Straw has shared his knowledge of international diplomacy with students and staff at the University Centre at Blackburn College.
He gave a talk to young people studying for degrees in social science, history, politics and English language.
The ex-Blackburn MP explained the relationship between theory and practice of international relations in UK foreign policy in a presentation focused on the ‘international relations’ module of the students’ degree programmes.
Mr Straw praised the students’ subject knowledge and engagement:
He said: “I’ve lectured in plenty of places and the questions I received in this session were very well framed and from a lively and stimulating group of students.”
Programme leader Ashley Whalley thanked Mr Straw for his expert presentation.
