MUSICIANS are being urged to be on the lookout for a stolen guitar, worth nearly £1,500.

The instrument was taken on Friday from Rimmers Music in Blackburn in a theft involving two men.

One distracted the store manager, allowing the other to run off with a Spector bass guitar.

The incident took place in the busy lunchtime period on Friday.

All local music stores and pawnbrokers have been informed.

A Rimmers spokesman said: "We are confident that such a unique bass guitar will be hard to sell on and will easily come to the attention of the police investigation."

Both men are described as having short dark hair and around 5’8″ tall. Both were wearing dark black jumpers and tracksuit bottoms with stripes down the side, with one also wearing a dark blue puffa jacket.
