AN investigation has been launched after a third stabbing in Blackburn in two days.
A 23-year-old man was taken to hospital after receiving stab wounds to his arm and back when he was assaulted near to the Texaco Garage in Grimshaw Park in Blackburn in the early hours of Sunday.
It comes after a a fatal stabbing in Largs Road, Blackburn at about 1.30am this morning and another incident in New Chapel Street in the Mill Hill area at around 11.30am on Sunday.
A police spokeswoman said: "Around 12.10am yesterday (Sunday, October 1) a 23-year-old man was assaulted close to the Texaco Garage in Grimshaw Park, Blackburn.
"The victim suffered stab wounds to his arm and back and was treated at Royal Blackburn Hospital.
"An investigation is underway and enquiries are on-going."
She said at the moment they are treating them as isolated incidents.
