PEOPLE have been urged to declutter their unwanted clothes for the Big Bag Challenge.
Age UK Blackburn with Darwen has called on the people of Blackburn to support its annual stock appeal by donating as many bags of quality unused clothing or goods as possible to support lonely older people.
Last year the Age UK Blackburn shop received 264 of bags as part of The Big Bag Challenge, a number the team are keen to beat this year and need the community to do this.
Past items donated include clothes, shoes, handbags and homeware which were snapped up by savvy shoppers, helping to raise funds for the charity’s work.
Volunteers in the shop will be on hand to receive bags of donations, with the goal of reaching 100,000 bags of goods nationwide in just two weeks by October 9.
