16 new graduate teachers have completed an innovative teacher training scheme within ‘Blackburn TEAM Alliance’ at Wensley Fold CE Primary Academy.
The trainees are now qualified teachers and will start teaching jobs in September as part of the School Direct programme with 14 of the 16 graduates taking jobs in BWD schools.
This is the third year the scheme has been running within Blackburn with Darwen.
The trainees were part of a team receiving intensive support from experienced teachers and Specialist Leaders in Education with our BWD Schools.
Donna Simpson Headteacher of Wensley Fold CE Primary Academy said:
‘We are thrilled to be entering our fourth year of School Direct which is an amazing opportunity for both us as a school and the Associate Teachers entering this wonderful profession.’
