A SHOPKEEPER was threatened with an axe during a robbery at a shop in Blackburn.
Police say the victim fled into a back room after a man burst into Ravats Groceries at around 7.30pm.

A police spokesman said the raider then appeared to have reached into the till and escaped with £40 in cash.
The man, who is said to have left the axe at the scene, is thought to be white and was wearing a white face covering, masking his nose and mouth.
He also had a black baseball cap and black jacket and is thought to have fled towards Ronald Street, which is behind the Accrington Road block.
People who say anything in or around the shop, which is near the junction with Ronald Street, are being asked to call police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting log number 1331 of May 15.
