MORE THAN 100 homes in Blackburn and Darwen were left with no water and poor pressure this afternoon.
The issues were reported at around 4.30pm and affected people in the BB1, BB2 and BB3 postcodes.
United Utilities said that the problem was resolved by 8pm and was caused by an electrical fault.
A spokesman said: "We are not sure how many homes were affected but we received around 100 calls on the issue.
"An electrical fault in the area caused our local water pumping station to trip at Fishermoor Pumps.
"Our apologies to all those affected by the disruptions this afternoon."
