A 13-YEAR-OLD boy has been airlifted to hospital after falling 15-feet through a factory roof.

Police said the incident happened at a factory off Bolton Road, close to the Raj Indian Restaurant, when the teenager was playing with friends.

Officers said they received a phone call from the North West Ambulance Service at around 5pm yesterday to say the boy had fallen through a skylight.

After initially being taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital he was airlifted to Alder Hey Children's Hospital. 

Police said "miraculously" he only suffered a broken nose.

Officers have warned parents to keep an eye on their children in the wake of the incident.

A police spokesman said: "At around 5pm on March 26 we were called by the ambulance service to reports a 13-year-old boy had fallen 15 feet through the skylight of a factory in Blackburn.

"He had been playing with friends on the roof of a factory on an industrial estate with friends when the incident happened.

"He was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital before being airlifted to Alder Hey Children's Hospital.

"He has miraculously only suffered a broken nose and cuts and bruises. Parents, now the evenings are getting longer do you know what your children are doing?"
