TWO WOMEN have been taken to hospital with suspected spinal injuries after a car came off a major road out of Blackburn and landed on its roof in a farmer's field.
Police, paramedics and firefighters had to be called to the single-vehicle crash involving a blue Toyota Yaris on the Grane Road, close to Belthorn, at 7.45pm last night.
The car veered down a verge close to the Grey Mare pub and dropped 6 foot down an embankment and landed on its roof, 20 foot away from the road.

Firefighters from Blackburn and Darwen Stations attended the incident and cut the women out of the car. They were placed on to long boards before being put in to ambulances and taken to hospital.
Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
The Grane Road was closed to allow the emergency services to carry out their work safely until 9pm.
