A 47-YEAR-OLD man has appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged with making threats to kill a shopkeeper while brandishing an imitation firearm.
Nigel Lee Hodgson, of Rydal Road, Blackburn, was sent on bail to Preston Crown Court charged with possessing an imitation firearm, a Walter PPK .177 BB gun, with intent cause Saravana Mathu to fear that violence would be used against him, making theats to kill him and possessing an offensive weapon, a hammer, in Whalley Old Road, Blackburn.
He will appear at the crown court on August 8.
