A BLACKBURN man has been placed on the sex offenders register after being convicted of possessing and making indecent images of children.
Russell Chadwick, 42, of Ruthin Close, was convicted of two counts of possessing indecent images and three counts of making indecent images of children.

An earlier hearing at Blackburn Magistrates Court heard that he had 230 indecent images in his possession, some at the most serious Level A, and made indecent images of children.
He appeared before a judge at Preston Crown Court where was placed on the Sex Offenders Register for five years and made subject of a five-year sexual harm prevention order, as well as a three-year community order.
He was also made to undergo a 30-day rehabilitation requirement and must pay a £60 victim surcharge.
An order was also made for the forfeiture of his computer equipment.
