Runners from across East Lancashire will come together to raise money for Cancer Research.

In tribute Mrs Hilton and Mrs Cameron are going to complete the course in T-shirts bearing the face of the former Westholme School catering assistant, who worked behind the bar at Feniscowles cricket club, Mrs Hilton said: “This will be my fourth year doing it.

“I did it the first time with Sarah when she was first diagnosed. This year my other daughter Lisa is doing it with me and it will be her first time.

“I think it will be more emotional this year. It will be hard.

“But it’s something that we want to do to continue raising money for Cancer Research. It’s what Sarah would have wanted us to do.”

They will be joined on the course by Mrs Hilton’s granddaughter Sophie, her grandson’s girlfriend Anna Thompson, Sarah’s best friend ‎Lisa Grieg-Holmes‎ and her daughter Kirsty.

Sarah was first diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2012, which by that point had spread to her liver and lungs.

That initial cancer was cleared with chemotherapy. She also developed bone cancer which had been contained.

But the cancer returned in her liver in November and Miss Hilton passed away at Royal Blackburn Hospital on December 27, having spent her final Christmas with son Connor.
