PEOPLE who grew up from the 1980s onwards would possibly have wiped away a tear yesterday when bulldozers moved in on an iconic building from their childhood.
Waves pool, in Blackburn town centre, which closed last February after 29 years, is being demolished so the council can sell the site.
The pool was state-of-the-art when it opened in 1986 with its twisting slides and wave machine.
