But he was eventually arrested for being drunk and disorderly.
Morgan, 30, of Stockbridge Road, Padiham, admitted being drunk and disorderly inside Royal Blackburn Hospital. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay a £150 criminal court charge, £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
Andy Robinson, prosecuting, said when police went to speak to him Morgan immediately became abusive. They didn’t arrest him but took him to the hospital.
“His behaviour continued there and he was disturbing other patients,” said Mr Robinson.
Gareth Price, defending, said Morgan had been with his brother on the motorway bridge and there was risk of self harm.
“That was why they took him to hospital rather than arrest him straight away,” said Mr Price. “He apologises to everyone affected by his behaviour at the hospital.”
