BURNLEY fans buying tickets for the East Lancashire derby at Ewood Park will be able to get on a coach in Blackburn for the first time.

Previously, Clarets supporters who live closer to Blackburn have been forced to travel to Burnley to get a coach back to Blackburn for the heavily policed fixture – but that is now changing with a pick-up point in Lower Philips Road, Blackburn.

A Clarets spokesman said: “After listening to feedback from fans on previous occasions, the club has done its utmost to ensure the arrangements and journey times to Ewood Park are as efficient for fans as possible, with park and ride locations timed as close to kick-off as possible.”

All away fans must travel to Ewood Park on the coach – as has been the case for derby clashes in previous years.

Coaches for the 12.30pm clash on Saturday, October 24, will leave the main car park behind the James Hargreaves Stand at 10.45am, 10.55am and 11am, with a collection in Blackburn at 11.20am.

Supporters travelling on family tickets can travel on a coach leaving Widow Hill Road, Burnley, at 11.30am.

Tickets for Burnley supporters wanting to attend Ewood Park are priced at £41 for adults, £31 for over 65s, £31 for 18-to-21-year-olds and £21 for those aged under 17.

Tickets are on sale on Wednesday, October 7, to season tickets holders with 5,000 Clarets points or more.

On Friday they go on sale to season ticket holders with 3,000 Clarets Points or More, and on Wednesday, October 14, they are on sale to all season ticket holders.

On Monday, October 19, they go on general sale to all supporters with a Clarets membership number.
