“I have had some amazing offers since taking some time out after Big Brother. I did a sports and nutrition and personal training course I am able to put my presenting and modelling skills together with fitness,” says AJ.

Local lass AJ started off as a reporter for BBC Radio Lancashire, reporting on nightlife, local artists and exciting goings-on in the county.

During her time on Channel 5 she was criticised nationally by viewers for her strong Blackburn accent.

But AJ says she’s not going to change and comes back to Blackburn whenever she can to the family home in Whalley Range for her mum Florence’s home made Nigerian cooking.

“I can’t change my accent but I can slow down.” she said. “I have been living in London for years now and my accent will never change. It’s character and it makes me who I am. When I am back home I love it, the people are great and I can honestly say I am proud to be from Blackburn.”
