Blackburn magistrates heard that having kicked in the front door Jenny Duckworth searched for the other woman before causing £570 worth of damage to her property.

Duckworth, of Ailsa Road, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to criminal damage, using violence to secure entry and harassing Melanie Hibbert.
She was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison suspended for two years, made subject to a curfew for 12 weeks between 9pm and 7am and ordered to pay £570 compensation, £80 costs and £80 victim surcharge. She was also made subject to a restraining order for two years.
Catherine Allan, prosecuting, said Miss Hibbert was at home when Duckworth came round at 2.10am. She heard her shout and then start banging on the door.
“She was on the phone to the police, hiding in the dining room, when the door went in altogether,” said Jiss Allan. “The defendant went upstairs searching for Miss Hibbert.”
Ben Leach, defending, said there had been a lengthy history between the two.
