Police would like to trace two men as part of an on-going investigation into a robbery in Blackburn.

The incident happened between 8pm and 8.10pm on Wednesday 22 July outside Screwfix on Grimshaw Park.

It is thought that a 28 year old local man was approached by a man wearing a dark coloured long sleeve jumper and white t-shirt close to the outside of the shop. The victim was kicked in the face resulting in him falling to the floor.

At this point his mobile phone was taken from him before the man walked away with a second man stood nearby wearing a blue shirt. The pair are believed to have walked along the canal exiting at the Raj Takeaway.

DC 2584 Neil Pugh of Blackburn CID said: “We are keen to trace the two men in the CCTV image as we would like to speak to them as part of our on-going enquires. I’d urge them or anyone with information about their identities to come forward. Similarly we’d like to trace anyone who witnessed the incident.”
