A GROUP of fairytale princesses, a snowman – and one strapping bloke have recorded a classic tune for a children’s hospice.

Performers from Pop Up Princesses, which is based in Pleasington near Blackburn, were in full costume to belt out You’ll Be In My Heart in aid of the Derian House hospice yesterday at Elite Studios in Darwen.

The finished song will be available to buy from the likes of iTunes and Spotify.

The business, which supplies actresses for themed parties, was founded last year by 26-year-old Amy Toole, of Pleasington.

Amy said: “It’s the Phil Collins song out of Tarzan.

“We wanted to do something to reflect what we are doing and the words are quite poignant.

“We were in character as a Snow Queen, the Glass Slippered Princess, Princess Beauty, Rapunzel, Kristov and a Snowman and the Snow Princess.

“I know the song is set in the jungle but our video is also Band Aid-esque with us all singing with headphones on.”

The other performers are 18-year-old Ynez Taylor-Wood; Maddy Stevenson, 18; Victoria Campbell, 16; 19-year-old Lauren Bamber; Daniel Clift, 27; and Paul Davies, ‘who is in his 30s’.

Performing-arts graduate and former Westholme pupil Amy was previously a cruise liner performer before launching the flourishing business.

Amy said: “I only set up the business last August and I couldn’t have predicted the success we’ve had – I have 10 events a week .”

Amy has a Lanky twang and she often shocks her hosts once she reverts back to her natural tongue!

She added: I was originally an actress and after the parties people often say they thought I was an American.”

Finally, many parents might have heard enough of Let It Go from Frozen – but Amy predicts the Disney film will be regarded as a classic for years to come.

She said: “I’m 26 but when I was six Cinderella was still big so I don’t think Frozen will die .”
