IT MIGHT sound strange for a seven-time world champion to get nervous over a TV quiz show.

But superbike champ and household favourite Carl Fogarty has admitted shooting an episode of the new series of All Star Mr and Mrs alongside his wife Michaela was a nerve-rattling experience.

Foggy, who turned 50 yesterday, told the Lancashire Telegraph: “I’m competitive so it was quite funny.

“I was so nervous. I said to [host] Phillip Schofield it was worse than being on the starting line in front of 20,000 people .”

In the new series, viewers will see more celebrity couples being quizzed about their other halves, revealing how much or how little they really know about each other as they compete to win £30,000 for their chosen charity.

Foggy, who was named King of the Jungle after winning I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! last year, was tight-lipped about how he got on.

“It went really well, that’s all I can say,” he said.

Host Phillip said: “I love finding out what really goes on in the lives of these famous stars and revealing those little details.”

Other celeb couples include Marvin and Rochelle Humes, Martina Navratilova and her wife Julia Lemigova, Jimi Mistry and wife Flavia Cacace-Mistry, Rylan Clark and partner Dan Neal, Cath Tyldesley and fiancé Tom Pitfield, and Tinchy Stryder and girlfriend Helen Haben.

The series is still being filmed and hasn’t been scheduled yet, an ITV spokesman said.

Foggy will be taking to the stage in Lancashire this autumn as he recounts tales from his motorbike career, as well as his second life as a reality TV star.

He will be reprising his stage chat show with fellow motorbike racer James Whitham at Preston Guild Hall in September.

The duo will stage a one-off show on September 23, titled of Foggy and Whit: The King and I.
