A 21-YEAR-OLD woman who was thrown out of a Rawtenstall takeaway after abusing staff said she would come back with a knife.

Blackburn magistrates heard Jasmine Astin was true to her word and, when the shop owner disarmed her, said she would come back with a bigger knife.

Astin, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to racially aggravated threatening behaviour towards Zahid Hussain, possessing a knife in Mimis Takeaway and racially aggravated threatening behaviour in the Tasty Spot takeaway in Darwen Street, Blackburn. She was committed in custody to Burnley Crown Court to be sentenced.

Catherine Allan, prosecuting, said since 2012 Astin had 67 convictions, many of them racially aggravated offences. “There is a history of this kind of behaviour,” she said.
