A HARRIS'S hawk died after becoming trapped in netting in a Blackburn park.
The fire service was called to Queens Park shortly before noon today after receiving a call from a passerby.

Six firefighters attended the scene under a bridge in the park but the hawk died before it could be rescued.
A spokesman for the fire service said that the owner took the remains away after they had been retrieved from under the bridge.
