The Mall Takeover Day, which will take place on Wednesday February, 11 aims to give youngsters an insight into a career in retail and give the chance to voice their ideas and opinions.

Pupils will be given the opportunity to work alongside members of the management, marketing and security teams to find out about the daily running of the The Mall.

General Manager Loraine Jones said: “We can’t wait to see Lancashire children take over our jobs for the day as part of this brilliant initiative.

“I am a great believer in giving young people the opportunity to gets hands on experience in the world of work so they can make informed decisions about what they want to do when they leave school.

“We are looking forward to seeing what ideas they come up with and It would be fabulous if we could implement some ideas to enable the children to have a lasting legacy here as well as something unique to put on their CVs.”
