THE Conservative Party candidate for Blackburn, Bob Eastwood, has welcomed new figures showing over 800 fewer people in Blackburn are claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance compared to 2010 – a 29 per cent fall.

Bob said: “What a superb Christmas gift for these people in Blackburn and across the North-West. It’s great news that over 800 fewer people in the town are relying on Jobseeker’s Allowance to get by. This is a clear sign that the Conservatives’ long-term economic plan is working – helping people get off benefits and into work.
