The Pleasington 18-year-old pledges if she does achieve London musical fame, she will return to her hometown for the seasonal spectaculars.

She returns to the Blackburn boards after success as Cinderella in last year’s panto, which recorded the biggest audiences since 2009, and joins Chorley pop band star, Kevin Simm, making his third Christmas appearance at KGH.

Miranda revealed her taste for performing was whetted when she won the 2006 Mall Stars contest, entered by her grandmother Audrey Ashton.

The former St Bede’s school pupil said: “It was nerve-wracking, but I loved it.

“I’d like to appear in West End musicals.

“Even if I do, I love panto and would return to Blackburn for it. It really makes Christmas.”

She joins Whittle-le-Woods 34-year-old Kevin Simm, from pop group Liberty X.

He revealed despite having played for 170,000 fans in Naples, the KGH audience of 2,000 was special.

Kevin said: “I’d done panto here twice before and was delighted to come back.

“This year my thee-year-old son, Charlie, will be able to come which will make it special.”

Phil Walker, after 11 years as the funnyman in the KGH panto, has written and directed this year’s ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ which runs from December 10 to 31.

He said: “It’s a big challenge. Blackburn has really come on since I first played here and I’ll be nipping out to the Mall and Market to do my Christmas shopping.”
