A MAN whose dog killed an 11-month-old child has admitted harassing the baby’s mother and telling her the girl’s death was her fault.

Lee Christopher Wright posted ‘sick’ messages on Facebook, Blackburn magistrates heard.

He also told ex-girlfriend Chloe King it was her fault baby Ava-Jayne Corless was dead.

And in one posting he said he would kill Miss King and then have sex with her dead body.

He added he would put her body in the freezer and then defrost it every day and have sex with her again.

Wright, 27, of Ronald Street, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to harassing Miss King. He was remanded in custody for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.

Parveen Akhtar, prosecuting, said Miss King had ended the relationship with Wright after his dog killed her baby in February.

Miss Akhtar said that from February until July Wright had sent Miss King numerous Snapchat messages saying things like she was responsible for Ava's death but it was him that was reported to the police.

She bumped into him in August and he was very apologetic. She started to chat to him through the internet but he turned nasty, the court heard.

"She tried to reason with him, pleading with him for it to stop but they got worse," said Miss Akhtar.

He sent Miss King a list of things he was going to do before he killed himself and one of them was posting naked photographs of her on Facebook.

He then made the threat to kill her and have sex with her body.

Paul Huxley, defending, said his client felt ‘utter regret’ about what his dog did in February.

"Since then he has been the subject of abuse from members of the public," said Mr Huxley. "Miss King's mother, Claire King, has called him a murderer in a text message."

Mr Huxley said it was a terrible situation for everyone involved.

"It wasn't his fault the child died, that was the last thing he wanted," said Mr Huxley. "He has let the stress, which he is not sharing with anyone, bubble over. It has come out in comments to Chloe who is also going through a terrible time. It has been the worst year of both of their lives to say the least."

Wright has pleaded not guilty to possessing a dangerous dog and is awaiting trial at the magistrates court on that matter.
