HEALTH chiefs have invited members of the public to attend their next public meeting at Blackburn Central Library.
Joe Slater, chairman of Blackburn with Darwen Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), said: “I encourage members of the public to come to our governing body meetings.
“These meetings provide an opportunity to hear important discussions about the health services we commission and plans for changes in order to maintain the highest standards of patient care.
“Involving the local people we are caring for is essential to making sure that local health services meet their needs.
“Dr Penny Morris, a GP from Darwen, will be talking in detail about integrated care, so again, I encourage anyone who would like to know what benefits this will mean for the public to come along.”
The meeting is on Wednesday at 1pm.
Half an hour will be available before the start of the meeting for any questions or statements to be submitted by the public who either live or are registered with a GP within the borough of Blackburn with Darwen.
To do this you need to notify Iain Fletcher by emailing iain.fletcher@blackburnwithdarwenccg.nhs.uk or telephoning 01254 282098 stating your intention to speak and provide details of your name and address, or that of your GP.
