DETECTIVES investigating a brutal late-night attack on a man in his home have released more information about the men they are searching for.
An attempted murder investigation was launched after three men burst into a house, in Coleridge Street, Bank Top, Blackburn, and set about the 41-year-old occ- upant.
The victim, who was last night in a ‘critical condition’, was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital after suffering a fractured skull, and a bleed on the brain, in the 1am attack on Sunday.
Detectives from Lancashire Police’s major invest-igation unit have now issued detailed descriptions of three men they wish to speak to.
A police spokesman said: “We renew our appeal for anyone who thinks they may have seen anything suspicious in the Coleridge Street area to come forward.
“The first offender is described as being white, aged between 25 and 30 years old, and of a medium, or athletic, build.
“He had short brown hair, which was longer on top, and spoke in a local accent.
“The second and third men are described as being white, around 6ft tall, and of a strong, or heavy, build with short dark hair, and local accents.
“Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101.”
Police think the motive for the attack could be a row over money.
A police cordon was in place in the area all day on Sunday as crime scene investigators gathered evidence.
Meanwhile, uniformed officers carried out house-to-house inquiries.
