Blackburn Rovers signs up to football careers scheme for young people

First published in Blackburn

BLACKBURN Rovers has signed up to a new initiative, backed by top sports pundit Clare Balding, offering young people once-in-a-lifetime opportunities in the football industry.

Miss Balding has joined forces with high-profile female professionals in the sport, such as commentator Jacqui Oatley, and player Kelly Smith, as part of ‘What’s Your Goal?’ The initiative is designed to encourage teens to think about their careers, and the mentors will showcase the jobs available on, and off, the football pitch.

Working in partnership with The Football League, npower is searching for a ‘dream team’ of 11 youngsters to spend a day being mentored by one of the sportswomen.

To apply, visit before March 1.
