Henning Berg sues over sacking from Blackburn Rovers

BLACKBURN Rovers are being sued over former manager Henning Berg’s sacking just after Christmas.
The League Managers’ Association (LMA) yesterday said it had lodged papers with the High Court in London over his December dismissal.
The former Ewood Park defender lasted only 57 days at Blackburn Rovers, with his reign going into the record books as the shortest of any permanent manager at the club.
LMA chief executive Richard Bevan said last night: “We were sadly unable to come to an agreement with the club over the termination of Henning Berg’s contract.
“[Lodging papers] is the start of legal proceedings against Blackburn Rovers over the terms of Berg’s dismissal.”
Berg was officially appointed as Rovers boss on October 31 but his 10 games in charge brought only one win, three draws and six defeats and he was dismissed on December 27.
His appointment followed Steve Kean’s resignation in September.
A Rovers spokesman said: “We are not making any comment.”
In January Rovers apologised to former manager Sam Allardyce over a ‘rant’ about him by successor Kean as part of a legal settlement to a defamation claim.

Singh`s comment when hiring Berg was now we have "TWO" strong men in charge at Rovers meaning him and Berg " stunning comment from such a weak man.
Rovers for goodness sake DO NOT go down this dishonest and dishonourable path of reneging on contracts.
We have enough baggage at the club with Singh the coward and Hendry the swindler and woman beater .
Berg came to the club in good faith ,he never deliberately failed at management , so pay the man his contract be honourable.
There was many, many people in fact the majority of Rovers fans, who felt Berg had not enough ,in fact not any experience in English football league management , a lot of people disagreed with Singh about Berg`s appointment ,but Singh was emphatic Berg was the right man ,comments from Singh on "the minimun Berg has to do is get us promotion" stupid quotes from Singh ,stupid quotes from a stupid man.
Surely M.A. will not be impressed with the behaviour of the Rovers board .
