AN East Lancashire internet start-up firm has been shortlisted as a finalist in the forthcoming E3 Business Awards.
CVVID, of Blackburn, provides jobseekers with an online video CV profile they can send to employers.
It was selected from hundreds of nominees across the North West to become one of the four finalists for the Business Innovation award.
An awards ceremony takes place tonight at The Reebok Stadium, Bolton.
Company founder Yasir Sufi said: “This is a fantastic achievement for our business and recognition for all the hard work our team have put in to get us to this stage.
“We are working with school, councils, deaf associations and national organisations to help jobseekers stand out and being shortlisted for this award is recognition of the innovative nature of our website and service.”
Managing director of 1 Events Media, which organised the awards, Mubarak Chati, said: “The E3 Business Awards were intended to recognise and reward the important contribution that forward-looking businesses and social enterprises are making to the regeneration of the North West.
“We have been greatly impressed by the number and quality of entries.”
