AN East Lancashire law firm is set to turn one of its offices in a thriving commercial law hub.
Haworth and Nuttall has announced plans to expand its commercial law department at its base in Strawberry Bank, Blackburn, with senior partner David McCann spearheading the project.
The firm recently merged with Rossendale-based Woodcocks to create one of the region’s largest legal practices.
He will make the move from Woodcocks’ Bury office to Blackburn next month. Mr McCann said: “My relocation to Blackburn forms the first phase of development for the merged business.
“We have a number of solicitors with specific expertise that will benefit the region’s businesses.”
Haworth and Nuttall, formed in 1877, have offices in Blackburn, Accrington and Great Harwood. Woodcocks, which can trace its roots back to 1791, has a long established presence Haslingden, Rawtenstall and Bacup.
