Blackburn town centre ‘sex den’ closes doors after five months

CLOSED Angels Massage Parlour in Railway Road
A ‘SENSUAL erotic massage’ parlour in Blackburn town centre has closed its doors for good.
Angels Massage Parlour, opened in Railway Road just metres from the entrance to the new Blackburn Market back in August last year, much to the disgust of local traders.
Town centre traders said they were ‘appalled’ that the establishment had been allowed to open in such a busy area.
Speaking when the parlour opened, one local business owner said: “I think it is absolutely disgusting a business offering this type of service has been allowed to open on the high street.
“A lot of money has been sent improving Blackburn town centre with The Mall and its terrible all that will be thrown away by allowing a seedy business like this open its doors.”
The venue’s website featured scantily-clad women photographed in just their underwear charging £100 an hour for their services.
But after local business owners contacted the police and the council, bosses at the parlour decided to close the branch.
On their website the operators said: “We are sorry to say that Blackburn is now closed. Thanks for your support, and we’re sad to see it go. Please remember that Preston is only 15 minutes away.”
Operating behind a door that read ‘AB Consultants’, the Blackburn branch had a rota of eight women working at the property.
The parlour had previously been based in King Street, in the Bank Top area of the town, for years before its moved into the town centre.
The Mayor of Blackburn with Darwen, Coun Zamir Khan, said: “This is great news for all the local traders and residents who no longer have to operate close to the parlour.”

Did a LT reporter visit the premises, to ascertain what was going on there, then make an excuse and leave?
Why is this written by the crime reporter, when no crime has been commited?
The oldest trade in the World should be allowed to continue behind closed doors and in private. Better this than innocent women being propositioned by passing kerb crawlers in certain areas of towns.

I suspect the same Blackburn Muslim mayor isn't as keen to shut down the Muslim owned shisha bars in the town. Shisha bars are known to be hives for all kinds of lewd and indeed -allegedly-illegal behaviour.
Didn't you read about the chap who raped a 13 y.o. (who he met via Facebook) in a hotel? His cultural upbringing didn't inform him that this was an abhorrent act and the judge did not see fit to punish him because of this.

I personally see no problem with these establishments as long as they are licensed, clean and professional. I would rather see these exist than have awful red light areas inhabited with prostitutes and pimps and drugs. As long as these establishments are secluded safe and inconspicuous then I don't see a problem. Time Blackburn moved into the 21st century. As long as sex is legal and consensual then who are we to judge? Europe and parts of the UK are far more enlightened.I suspect Blackburn's Muslim and out of touch Christian church lobby are behind this decision to close down.
