Blackburn gun club submits safety fence design

BLACKBURN outdoor airgun club has submitted the design for a safety fence at its range at Higher Whitehalgh Farm, Stockclough Lane, Feniscowles, to the council.
The one metre high protection was a condition of the borough planning committee approving retrospective permission to allow the club to continue using the site in September last year.
Councillors said the fence was needed for the safety of walkers on a nearby footpath.
Now the club has submitted its proposals to Blackburn with Darwen Council’s planning committee at its meeting on Thursday. Officials have recommended approval.
