MR Spuds, a familiar face from the former Ainsworth Street entrance of the old market, has made a welcome return to the town, with the opening of a new food stall in Blackburn Market’s food hall.
It is run by husband and wife team John and Sally Wright, with the help of their son Max. Keith Holden, market manager, said: “We’re delighted to welcome back Mr Spuds.
“Their jacket potatoes were certainly a big hit in the old market, and I’m sure they’ll replicate that success here in their new home.”
