POLICE were called to a disturbance in Queen Victoria Street, in Mill Hill, Blackburn, after reports of a machete attack.
Police have arrested three men in relation to the disturbance at a house at around 4.30am this morning.
A police spokesman said: “Officers acted on the initial call, and thought it was more serious than it was.
“There is a suggestion that someone may have been armed with a knife.”
An ambulance spokesman said they were called to the scene.
“We had a possible attack reported at a house in Queen Victoria Street.
“The patient had sustained a minor wound to his hand.
“We arrived at the scene but no one was taken to hospital.”
A 22-year-old man from Blackburn was arrested on suspicion of section 20 wounding, a 25-year-old man of no fixed address, and a 21-year-old man from Manchester were arrested on suspicion of Section 18 wounding with intent.
The three men remain in custody while investigations continue.
