Dancers perform in 'A Night at the Movies'

BLACKBURN’S Sanderson Dance and Fitness Centre’s dance showcase was held at Thwaites Empire Theatre.

The dancers, aged four to 19, had trained since January to perform show tunes for ‘A Night at the Movies’, the studio’s sixth annual showcase.

Dance teacher Lucy Yates said: “They all worked so hard and it went absolutely brilliantly this year.

“We had lots of lovely comments about how proud the parents all were."

Many parents volunteered to help the dancers with costumes.

Lucy added: “It was a real team effort."

The children performed choreographed routines to hits from stage and screen musicals such as Chicago, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Toy Story.
