BLACKBURN College has launched an innovative training programme designed to develop the education leaders of the future.
The ‘Academic Leadership Programme,’ created by the college, is a bespoke management development and leadership initiative created to complement the college staff’s academic excellence and management skills with enhanced leadership training.
Principal Ian Clinton said: “Being able to manage a team of staff requires a certain set of skills.
“The programme will offer practical and project-led training to provide the relevant experiential learning which will enable staff to progress to this next level of development.” The three-month pilot programme will start on November 30 and will run until February 28. It will involve six members of staff.
