BANK View Smile Studios in Blackburn was named ‘Best Dental Clinic’ in the country by a consumer website.

Blackburn-born dental surgeon, Khalid Master took over the practice on Preston New Road with fellow dentist Thomas Sarpong in February 2010.

Dr Master said: “We are a developing brand and this is a real gauge of how we are doing.

“I’ve never been to something like the ceremony before. It was like a glittering TV event.

“I’ve lived in Blackburn all my life and when I was studying in Liverpool I knew I wanted to come home and serve the community.”

More than 12,500 consumers voted on the MyFaceMyBody.com awards, ensuring the surgery beat contenders from London’s famous Harley Street.

Coun Suleman Khonat, one of Dr Master’s patients, said: “The amount of work I’ve had to have done on my mouth is amazing and I’m glad to have such a good guy doing the work.

“It’s so good for a local kid to do so well in such a short time, I’m very proud for him and his mum.”
